Miss Planet Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez has termed on the public to steer clear of donating unwearable apparel or underwear to victims of storm Odette.

The attractiveness queen, who is supporting numerous fundraisers and donation drives for Odette victims in Siargao, talked about encountering clothes donations that had holes and stains on them in a sequence of Instagram Tales yesterday, Jan. 4.

“Don’t donate garments you won’t even wear. Hindi naman dahil walang wala na sila ay should have nila ang basura ng mga tao (Just simply because they really do not have something does not signify they are entitled to the trash of other folks),” Rodriguez explained.

“Sorry pero ‘yung ibang nakuha namin na donation, sobrang dumi at butas-butas na (Sorry but some of the donations we gained have been so dirty or had several holes in them). If there are holes in your outfits, do not donate them,” she additional.

Rodriguez also discouraged the general public from donating soiled underwear, but in its place “essential” and “appropriate” outfits.

“[Don’t] donate your filthy panty or filthy underwear. If it’s not wearable (crucial) clothing, never send it. Remember to donate appropriate clothes!” she told followers.

Rodriguez has viewed as Siargao her next dwelling after she got caught on the island simply because of local community quarantine early into the COVID-19 pandemic.
